A Mom’s Journey Through ADHD

Lorrie acted as a surrogate reader for her son, who suffered nightly crises over homework. He stretched 45 minute assignments into hours. Incentives didn’t work. She regularly burned the midnight oil finishing work for him because his stamina had drained out long before he could produce all the work due the next morning.

American Academy of Pediatrics Recognizes Neurofeedback for ADHD

In October of 2012 the American Academy of Pediatrics gave neurofeedback their top rating in application to the behavioral symptoms of ADHD. This means that neurofeedback has met the highest standards currently being applied to the appraisal of psychosocial interventions.

Impact of Climate Change on Mental Health

A new paper, prepared for the Climate Institute in Australia, reports that rates of mental illnesses including depression and post-traumatic stress will increase as a result of climate change.
